As an artist, Jennifer enjoys working in many different media to create emotional and sculptural paintings and portraits. She has a unique emotionally-driven approach to her art. Jennifer's personal experience with the healing process of her art practice is foundational for her desire to help others through the use of creative processes.

After spending years learning both formally and informally about colour, texture and technique using different mediums such as snow, ice, steel, wood, concrete and fabric, Jennifer enjoys experimenting while she creates. She currently enjoys working with a fusion of sewing, sculpture, painting and drawing.

Jennifer’s artistic inspiration is fundamentally emotional. Each piece starts without any plan or expectation - it develops from emotional exploration guiding the creative process. Many influences contribute to the investigation; personal frustration, desires, peace and expectations are expressed. Brush stroke, texture, and found materials are used to bring about an intentional and meaningful representation unique to the moment of each work. Jennifer enjoys carefully considering the story and meaning found in the materials used for each work.
